Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As everyone knows, the year 2020 started with the COVID-19 pandemic causing havoc worldwide and changing everything that we do. As the pandemic shows no sign of abating, we have no choice but to live with the virus. One way for us to overcome the restriction imposed by the pandemic, is to hold a virtual congress in keeping with the global trend of using digital platform. Thus, I am pleased and delighted to extend an invitation to participate in the Virtual MSAI Annual Congress 2021, a historic first for the society.

The theme of this year’s congress is “Allergy Practice in the Age of the Pandemic: The New Normal” and it will be held from 3^rd – 4^th and 10th April 2021. This congress will be a golden opportunity to discuss, learn, exchange, acquire new technological know-how, and gain knowledge and insight from the leaders in the field of allergy and immunology. The scientific program has been lined up with a variety of excellent topics given by distinguished and respected speakers, which will be lively and dynamic.

All this is possible with the great team we had in MSAI executive committee with the excellent MSAI secretariat working tirelessly and enthusiastically in organizing this congress. With the steadfast and unwavering support of the pharmaceutical companies and industries, we hope this congress will be an event not to be missed by those with interest in the field of allergy and immunology. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for the kind support and commitment despite the pandemic situation. It has been a great honor and indeed a great pleasure for me to have the opportunity to work with everyone for the better future of our profession and alliances. Many challenges await us for this period, but with hard work, commitment and enthusiasm, all obstacles will be conquered.

As President of MSAI, it is my privilege and pleasure to invite everyone to join us in this year’s virtual congress and I look forward to welcoming all of you.
