Objective

To award research advancement in the field of maternal and paediatric nutrition that will impact the health of pregnant and lactating women, and of children in Malaysia

Research Theme: Nutrition in the First 1000 Days

Research should include a component of nutrition or growth, such as:

• Complementary feeding practices
• Nutrition in pregnancy
• Nutrition in infancy
• Effects of probiotics on immunity or digestion or defecation in children below the age of 2 years

Eligibility

Applicants should be:

• Researchers working in the field of maternal, infant or paediatric health, or nutrition in Malaysia
• Malaysian citizens below the age of 45 years
• First authors

Applications are accepted for:

• Published/unpublished research completed no older than one year from the submission deadline. Research must be approved by the respective institutions’ Ethics Committee for human research
• Abstracts for oral or poster presentations, along with a draft manuscript

Please note that systemic reviews and meta-analyses are not be eligible. Previous winners of international and national awards, including Nestlé Nutrition Institute (NNI) will not be entertained.
